Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions Coming to iPad Soon

Fans of the Final Fantasy game series, rejoice, as Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is finally coming to the iPad. While the iPhone version of the game was announced a while back at E3 2010, Square-Enix never officially communicated on the availability of the iPad version, and its release date, until yesterday.

Via its Facebook page, Square-Enix confirmed that the iPhone version of the game will be available around June-July 2011, and that the game should be released on the iPad shortly afterwards.

“Are we there yet?” – four words parents dread hearing when traveling with their kids. If you’re hitting the road for vacation this summer and you’ll have kids in the backseat, Road-Trip-Bingo HD for the iPad will keep them entertained while you’re on the go.

BINGO is a fun, timeless game kids love to play and this app brings it to the digital level. We all know the overall concept, cover five squares in a row and you win. BINGO! A bonus to this Road Trip version is, it’s actually a little easier because it doesn’t require anyone to draw and call out numbers.

When the app is started, users get the option of one or two players on the iPad. Select one and play by yourself or get your little brother to play against you using another iPad. Don’t have two iPads, not a problem! Two players can share the same iPad with the screen split down the middle and two different BINGO boards showing.

Each board shows 25 squares containing small pictures of things kids might see while riding in the car. When they spot one of the items on their board, they simply tap the picture and a purple dot appears. Make sure they continue to pay attention as you drive and tap the corresponding pictures on the board for objects in “real life” they’ve been able to locate. Once they’ve have five dots in a row, they win. It’s that easy!
