The New York Times has delivered the news that American Media Inc. is bringing a digital version of the popular National Enquirer tabloid direct to your iPad.

I was just having a conversation with my mother where we discussed how it was difficult to remember what we cooked for supper the night previous but that we could quite clearly recall where we were and what we were doing the moments we learned Elvis had died or Kennedy had been killed.
Does anybody remember when you used to go to these things outside of your home called stores to buy these glossy paper things called magazines? Well maybe we aren’t quite at the point yet where those paper copies are extinct, but it certainly seems like it’s moving in that direction.
My daughter is just turning 3 and this is the first year she really has a solid understanding of what’s about to go down on Halloween. She’s chosen her costume (a completely adorable Tigger suit) and at least 10 times a day asks me when she gets to put on Tigger and take her pail around to the neighbors saying “trick or treat” and gathering candy. She says the words, but I still get the impression she doesn’t fully understand just what will happen other than it involves candy and that is always a good thing in her books.
Rejoice, music devotees of the iPad world, for there is no longer a need to try to read every blog or publication in existence.

Prepared to offer digital editions of its popular magazines and take advantage of the iPad’s multimedia features, Conde Nast introduced a number of titles to the App Store the first few months the iPad was available. Despite the best laid plans, things have not gone as well as expected, leading Conde to revise its market strategy.
Earlier today, Bloomberg Businessweek launched its first iPad app, called Bloomberg Businessweek+. The app features the same content as the print version of the magazine, and then some, as it also offers live information on companies, including current stock price, performance history, and recent news.
I’ve had a subscription to Everyday Food for several years now and was thrilled to see the iPad version finally make it to the App Store today. My whole family appreciates the delicious food that comes from the great-tasting recipes included in the monthly print version of the magazine and having it on the iPad will make things that much easier for me.
