Published by the digital-media skeptical Wenner Media, Rolling Stone magazine has earned a reputation for being one of the true measures of musical success. If you’ve been featured, your musical contribution has been validated.

Lilly’s Little Touch Book – iPad App Review

“Art-making of consequence” is a phrase I sometimes hear describing art that has the goal of making a difference. Author Pamela Sloane-Bradbury is releasing books which are both artful and which make a difference.

In Little Lilly’s Touch Book, children with Sensory Processing Disorder are not labeled, separated, or even defined. Instead, the story embraces all children by looking at symptoms (which makes it accessible by all readers with similar symptoms) and not a specific disorder. The goal of this series of books is to help children with special needs.

Microsoft Office for iPad – Coming Soon?

Back when the original Apple iPad first surfaced, Microsoft decided not to produce an Office version for use on the iPad. Instead, long time MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint users were forced to use Apple’s iWork series – Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. There was no other real option for PC users who were more comfortable using Microsoft’s products.

Now the company has changed its tune, and according to sources at The Daily, Microsoft is hard at work on an iPad version of its Office business offerings.

Sprint or TMobile iPad in the Works?

Sprint and TMobileFollowing the delivery of the iOS 5.1 SDK to developers and the subsequent (and much anticipated and expected) combing through of the code base for hidden Apple treasures, it has been discovered that a new variant of the iPad 2 could be in the works.

With a reference to 2,4 and with previous versions (2,1 – 2,2 – 2,3) identifying models specific to antenna (WiFi, AT&T and Verizon) it may be logical to guess this is the rumored Sprint version of Apple’s flagship tablet.

Apple Black Friday Sale: iPad sales up 68%

Apple StoreApple doesn’t have many sales. When most people tell me they are waiting to buy an iPad or iPod or whatnot until they ‘go on sale’ I usually respond by saying they might be waiting quite a while. Black Friday has come to be the exception in the last few years, though one can never be certain exactly which products will feature a lower price and by how much. This year, iPads enjoyed a significant discount that was persuasive enough to bring sales up 68% over this same period last year.

Consumers saw nearly 10% off at the register (whether virtually from the Apple website or at a brick-and-mortar Apple store), with the prices on the iPad 2 down by USD $41-$61 depending on the model. It may not seem like a lot when you see the actual dollars up on the screen, but that means your Smart Cover or extra power adapter could be offset by the discount.
