Honeycomb for Tablets, the next generation of Android specifically built to help tablet manufacturers fight against the iPad, is getting close to being launched. Earlier today, Google offered a sneak peak of the upcoming operating system, as the search giant released a trailer to showcase the new OS’s features – note that the video was meant to be seen only by Android developers, but it was leaked in a matter of minutes.
According to the video, Honeycomb was built “entirely for tablet,” with tablet-specific optimizations, such as a completely redesigned interface, and large icons and widgets.
