Amazon Cloud Player for iPad Now Available in Ford SYNC AppLink Cars

AmazonAmazon has really been working to make its music service bigger than Apple’s iTunes. In January, the company launched “AutoRip” for its Cloud Player service, which turned every CD you’ve purchased on Amazon for the past 15 years into an MP3 file. In February, the Cloud Player app was optimized for the iPad. Just last month, the online retail giant added vinyl to the list of music purchases that get the AutoRip upgrade. Today, Amazon announced that all SYNC AppLink equipped Fords are now compatible with the iOS Cloud Player app.

Indie Game Developer Launches Solo Game ‘Tasty Tadpoles’

Tasty TadpolesIndie game developer Mark White has been in the business for six years. He previously worked with Firemint, but left when EA took over the upstart. For the past two years, in his spare time, White has been working on a survival game of the tiniest proportion. As of May 9, all of White’s afterhours efforts will pay off. Tasty Tadpoles launches in the App Store tomorrow.

Well, according to the New York Times, Foxconn is working on a branded television set for itself in an effort to reduce its reliance on Apple.

Samsung started as a parts manufacturer, making microprocessors and memory chips for other companies. Building a strong infrastructure to sell components to others helped Samsung get an idea for how the industry works.

Consumers love the touch screen. According to a recent report from NPD DisplaySearch, we love it so much that touch screen tablets are selling more than laptops. New tablet shipments are expected to outnumber laptops sometime this year.

NPD’s report shows that tablet shipments will increase to 256.5 million globally in 2013, a 67 percent increase over 2012. Even more impressive is that they are expected to more than double that number to 579.4 million by 2017.
