Each week, we look for interesting projects that can be made by you using some simple instructions and easy-to-find supplies. Last week, we told you about some cardboard crafting iPad cases. Mine came in the mail yesterday. Now, I just need an idea for what to glue on them.

Tim CookOn April 23, The Robert F Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, with the help of online charity marketing firm CharityBuzz, launched an auction for coffee with Apple’s CEO. The coffee date had an estimated value of $50,000. Today, the auction ended after 86 bids and the winner donated $610,000 for the get-together.

On Mother’s Day, May 12, Hadfield’s Earthbound social networking team published a video on Youtube of the celebrity astronaut singing his own rendition of David Bowie’s Space Oddity. It is pretty phenomenal. Today, Cult of Mac discovered that Hadfield recorded the guitar and vocals on his iPad using GarageBand… in outer space.

Did you know that if you own an iPad you don’t actually need to own a NOOK to purchase eBooks from Barnes and Noble? All you need is the iOS NOOK app, which is free to download from the app store, then you can read NOOK books on an iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.

This is good news for anyone with a B&N gift card burning a hole in his pocket. Plus, thanks to a recent upgrade, the iOS Nook app now supports comics and graphic novels.
