Someday, You May be Able to Charge Your iPad With Your Smart Cover

Apple Patents are really making waves today. First, we saw an accidental submission from Apple engineers that showed design drawings of an as-yet-unreleased iPad. Now, it turns out that the iPad maker is working on a Smart Cover that will charge your iPad.

According to AppleInsider, the patent, titled “Integrated inductive charging in a protective cover,” shows that Apple is actively working on a design for charging wireless devices.

When I was a kid, home computers were only just starting to hit the market. PayPal Launches Credit Card Reader App for iPad

Only a little more than a decade ago, PayPal launched as an Internet payment program. At the time, no one wanted to give their credit card information over the Net out of fear of security issues. PayPal was able to earn user trust and quickly became the most prolific service on the Web. The company recently announced the launch of their credit card reader app, PayPal Here for iPad.

Twitter Buys We Are Hunted, Will Release Music App for iOS

According to CNET, Twitter purchased the Australian music discovery site We are Hunted sometime at the end of 2012, though an official announcement of the acquisition has yet to be made. Twitter will release its own, branded music discovery app for iOS, called Twitter Music, which is not to be confused with the popular Twitter account @TwitterMusic.

The new app is said to feature a silver play button sporting Twitter’s blue bird logo, and could be available to users as soon as the end of the month.
