A few days ago, rumors began swirling around that Oscar-winning actor Christian Bale was tapped to take on the lead role in Aaron Sorkin’s upcoming biopic adaptation of Walter Isaacson’s biography “Steve Jobs.” I scoffed at the notion. Bale has been in such cerebral sci-fi films as “Equilibrium” and physiological thrillers as “The Machinist.” He revitalized the brooding superhero Batman. He was John Conner in “Terminator Salvation.”
It is hard to imagine this action film star taking the geek seat as Apple’s most beloved CEO, Steve Jobs (although, Tim Cook is really starting to grow on me). But, the facts are in. Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin revealed the news to Bloomberg Television in an interview with Emily Chang.
