New Report Claims Apple has Kicked Samsung to the Curb, TSMC to Design A7 Chip

A7 ChipNews that Apple is veering away from Samsung with regards to its “A” series processor chips is old. For nearly two years, we’ve been hearing rumors that Apple doesn’t want to play nice with its “Frienemy” any more.

Just last week, Taiwan’s Economic Daily News reported that Apple is planning on having Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) manufacture the next generation of processor chip. Today, Korea Times is supporting that report with more information claiming that Apple has already turned its back on Samsung for good.

ron johnsonAccording to CNBC, JC Penney’s Chief Executive Officer was asked to step down from his position on Monday. Why is this important to Apple news followers? If you don’t remember the name Ron Johnson, he used to be the head of retail at Apple and was the man in charge of spearheading the retail store creation, an endeavor that has proven to be lucrative for the iPad maker.

His old position at Apple has been vacant for more than half a year now and it is possible that Apple wants him back.

Each week, Starbucks offers up a “Pick of the Week” card that allows users to download a free app from the App Store.

As of today, Pick of the Week has gone mobile. Users can now access the Pick of the Week choices using the Starbucks iOS app, which makes it easier than ever to get free apps, as there is no longer a need to enter a long redemption code.
