The company hopes to release the Smart Food Scale, a Bluetooth-enabled kitchen scale with iPad integration, and has launched a Kickstarter project to fund this new effort. The user will be able to bring up nutritional information about the food she is weighing as she is preparing a meal. Genius!

A few months ago, a new email client hit the App Store that just about turned the iOS community upside-down. Mailbox was being touted as a “revolutionary email app” that changes the way you use email. The app looked great, but within a week, I was back to my native iPad Mail app.
I’m just not the kind of person who needs help organizing thousands of emails. I’m pretty good at deleting and archiving my messages. Mailbox is a great app, but not a game changer for me.
Today, a new email client has hit the App Store that may just be what I’m looking for. Evomail is an email client for the iPad that is specifically designed for Gmail users. It offers some of the great features that Gmail’s Web-based service offers, but are not available with Apple’s native Mail app.
If you are familiar with Adobe’s Lightroom software for PC, then you will be happy to know that the company has just announced plans for an iPad-compatible version of the photography application.
According to CNet, the company’s group product manager for Lightroom, Tom Hogarty, demonstrated an early prototype of the app Wednesday on the Web-based show The Grid.

Adonit’s newest addition to its growing line of capacitative style, the Jot Touch 4 Stylus, makes drawing on an iPad more like putting pen to paper.
With most styli the user gets the same type of line regardless of how hard she presses. The Jot Touch 4 adds 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity, which allows for more realistic representation of the natural variations in pressure that occur when we write or draw on paper. The stylus also employs what the company describes as “palm rejection,” which just means that it ignores your hand, so you can rest your palm on the iPad while drawing. This welcom addition promises to end the frustration of leaving stray marks on the iPad screen.
