Last week, I highlighted an iPad app that I’ve been using for photo taking inspiration – the Photography Assignment Generator. This app offers up hundreds of shot ideas, so if you’re in need of a little photo help, make sure to check it out.

This week I thought I’d share a fun (and free) photo editing app that I was quite impressed with – Repix. With Repix, you can paint filters onto specific parts of your photos, combining effects in hundreds of fun ways. Repix was one of Apple’s App Store Editor’s Choice picks that we highlighted earlier this month, but I wanted to give a more in-depth look at the app, which is a solid photo editing choice.

Outfit iPad Mini for Filmmaking with iOgrapher Support Case — A Funded Kickstarter Project

It’s common to find new, cool iPad accessories on Kickstarter, but few have offered accessories for the iPad mini. Given the enthusiastic reception it has received on Kickstarter, the iOgrapher Support Case for iPad mini is likely to be the first of many such endeavors.

Project creator Dave Basulto fell in love with the iPad mini at first sight (“like a high school boy meeting his first girl”), and he’s turned to Kickstarter to bring his filmmaking accessory to market. Basulto, a teacher and video tutorial hobbyist, saw room to improve on the quality of iPad videos with a few simple additions, so he designed a case system that allows its user to add lenses, handles, audio equipment, lights and even mount the whole apparatus on a tripod.

New Report Claims Apple has Kicked Samsung to the Curb, TSMC to Design A7 Chip

A7 ChipNews that Apple is veering away from Samsung with regards to its “A” series processor chips is old. For nearly two years, we’ve been hearing rumors that Apple doesn’t want to play nice with its “Frienemy” any more.

Just last week, Taiwan’s Economic Daily News reported that Apple is planning on having Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) manufacture the next generation of processor chip. Today, Korea Times is supporting that report with more information claiming that Apple has already turned its back on Samsung for good.

However, when it comes to leaked images of rumored upcoming Apple products, they are always one of the first to hit the airwaves. They were the first to leak images of the Lightning connectors, the finished iPad mini, and early photos of internal parts for the mini.
