My nephew just recently got into the Pokémon trading card game (TCG). Like, less than a month ago. Apparently, it is all the rage in his first grade class and he feels that it is necessary to participate in order to maintain his social standing. Lucky for him, his birthday was last week and he received hundreds of cards as presents. He will be overjoyed to find out that the online game is now available on the iPad. Shortly after I updated my iPhone and iPad to iOS 8, I discovered that the “My Photo Stream” album wasn’t there anymore. Without research, one would assume that Apple had lost your photos. However, that is not the case. Apple has, instead, relocated your iCloud photos to a different place. Instead of having a separate Photo Stream album, pictures will automatically be added to the “Recently Added” section of your camera roll.

The Photos app in iOS 8 has combined all of your images into “Recently Added” instead of a separate Camera Roll and Photo Stream. Images are organized by date and listed by Moments, Collections, and Years.

Waze Version 3.9 ‘Places’ Adds Up-To-Date Info on Businesses


Whenever I’m about to go someplace I’ve never been, I try to get as much info ahead of time as possible. I’ll use Google Earth to try to get a visual description of a building. I’ll look up Yelp reviews to see what is good or bad. I’ll even try to find out what the parking situation is like, just in case I need to plan ahead for a long walk.

This week, Waze updated their social networking map app to include the ability to add and edit current pictures and information about businesses and residences. Now, you can take a picture of a restaurant that recently closed down and post it to Waze to let others know not to waste their time.
