Over the past few years, we’ve come to find that consumers prefer online shopping to in-store buying during the holiday season. Additionally, since the iPad launched in 2010, mobile shopping has grown exponentially. With the addition of Apple Pay available on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as well as for online with the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, this year retailers that accept Apple Pay stand to profit more than every before during the holiday shopping season.
According to a new report from Adobe Digital Index (ADI), consumers prefer to make Internet purchases from retailers that accept some form of digital wallet, like Google Wallet, PayPal, and now Apple Pay. Customers are 10 percent more likely to purchase items in their virtual cart if a digital wallet option is available.
