‘Splashtop Remote Browser’ Enables PC Browsers On Your iPad

If you’re a Windows PC owner, you’re in luck. A new application on the App Store lets you use Firefox, Internet Explorer or Chrome to browse the web directly from your iPad using the default browser on your main computer.

Splashtop Remote Browser was designed to run your PC’s default browser from the iPad, including all of your plug-ins from Adobe Flash, Microsoft’s Silverlight, Java, any stored login credentials, bookmarks, and more.

Taposé – Brings the Microsoft Courier to iPad

In 2009, details started emerging about Microsoft’s rumored tablet project, which received the codename Microsoft Courier. Around that time everyone was touting Apple’s rumored tablet as solely an entertainment device, while the Courier was being presented as an interactive tablet with dual-touchscreens that folded like a booklet.

As soon as Apple unveiled the iPad, all Courier plans ended. On April 29, 2010, Microsoft confirmed the Courier project would no longer be supported, and the rest is history. However, a Kickstarter Project has taken the concept of the Courier and plans to bring it back via an iPad app called Taposé.

Apple and the “iCloud” Game – Domain Name Ready?

The rumors about Apple’s new cloud service keep getting stronger. The last several weeks have been quite entertaining for the Cupertino company.

First, we heard the company stopped selling MobileMe on retail stores. Then, we heard that iOS 5 would be focused on cloud-based features, and a new “personal media locker” hosting service would be released for your music, videos and photos at a $20 to $25 yearly cost.  Now, a new report indicates that Apple may have bought the iCloud.com domain name for its service.

Vtok Allows Google Video Chatting from Your iPad 2, iPhone

If you like to video chat with your friends, you’re probably quite familiar with Skype, Yahoo!, Apple’s Facetime, and Tango. All of these are very popular applications amongst PC and mobile users.

However, many of my Google Talk (GTalk) friends weren’t able to video chat with me, until a very nice app called Vtolk was released onto the App Store about a month ago. Vtok’s release allowed me to video chat from my iPhone with my GTalk contacts while on business trips. And now, the latest app update allows me to video chat from my iPad 2 as well.

NFL’s 2011 iPad App Ready for the Draft

The NFL could very well be going into a lockout shortened season due to the well documented dispute between NFL owners and the Players association.
