Belkin Turns iPad Mini into Netbook with New Keyboard Case

The accessories are starting to really roll in for the iPad Mini, not the least of which is a new portable keyboard folio from Belkin. The Belkin Portable Keyboard Case for iPad Mini is the full package, offering us “sleek, portable protection” while making it easier to type for extended periods (one of the chief complaints of many would-be iPad Mini users).

Jamie Elgie, senior director of product management at Belkin discusses their new product:

Can’t Miss Retro Games for iPad

There are several things that get better with age, like single-malt scotch or a cast-iron skillet; and while I may enjoy both of those things, my gaming sensibilities have not necessarily evolved as much. An appreciation for all things 8-bit comes with time (and by that I mean you came from a time when there were no other options and such things were considered to be ‘cutting edge’).

Some iPad Mini Boxes Requiring iTunes 11 for Sync?

For those lucky people waiting on their iPad Mini pre-order to arrive, the good news is that they are shipping and in a few cases have already arrived. A few of those people ordered the French version of the tablet and it’s been noticed that the box indicates that iTunes 11 is a requirement to sync the device. This news is a little bit of a concern given that issues forced Apple to delay the release of iTunes 11 earlier this week.

Not to worry though, the received iPad Minis seem to sync just fine with the current version of iTunes.

You know you are getting old when anniversaries reach double digits and you weren’t that young when the event happened in the first place. Such is the case with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the highly successful title from developers Rockstar Games.

Tim Cook says PC Buyers are “Better off Buying an iPad”

During a conference call held following the disclosure of Apple’s fiscal Q4 financial details, Tim Cook shared his feelings on Microsoft’s new Surface tablet set to debut today (the same day his company started pre-orders of their new iPad Mini).

Not surprisingly, Cook described the Surface as being a “compromised, confusing product” that basically equates to the ‘jack of all trades, master of none’. With enough basis stemming from this reason alone, Cook doesn’t feel that the Surface will be any significant competition for Apple or the iPad.
