Groupon Offers $15 iTunes Code for $10

Groupon 2

Are you super excited about the new BioShock game that just launched on iOS, but don’t want to drop $15 on one game? Well, as if the fates were looking down on you, Groupon has a deal right now so you can purchase a $15 iTunes code for only $10.

Starting Thursday, Aug. 28 and ending Monday, Sept. 1, you can purchase one (and only one) code that can be redeemed in the iTunes, iBooks, or App Store for use on games, music, movies, books, and more. You can use it for content on your iPad, iPhone, Mac, and even Apple TV (Why not invest in some of those albums from artists performing at the iTunes Festival?).

The Groupon comes with a couple of important terms and conditions; one of them being that you can’t use the code to gift iTunes content to someone. So, if you are hoping to get your buddy to purchase a code and gift you a couple of apps in exchange for $10, it won’t work.

From the iTunes Code Terms and Conditions on Groupon:

“Not redeemable for cash, no refunds or exchanges (except as required by law). Code may not be used to purchase any other merchandise, allowances or iTunes gifting.”

Once you’ve purchased the Groupon, it will immediately be available for redemption. Visit the “My Groupons” page and copy the 16-digit redemption code. Then, on your iPad or iPhone, open any iTunes app (iBooks, App Store, iTunes), scroll down to the bottom of the Featured page, and tap “Redeem.” After you enter your Apple ID credentials, paste the code into the redemption bar and tap Redeem when done.

You can also redeem the code automatically online by selecting the “Redeem Online” button from your iOS device, or desktop computer. Just be sure that the iTunes account the code is downloading to belongs to you and not your sister or your husband (or your boss).

Visit the Groupon Deals website to grab your iTunes code. Remember, you only have until Sept. 1 to purchase the deal, so don’t wait.
