Plants vs. Zombies: Dark Ages Part 2 Now Available on iPad

Plants Vs. Zombies Dark Ages

PopCap is on a roll with adding more and more updates to the sequel to its popular castle defense game. Drop your seeds and grow poison-spewing plants that knock the medieval zombie king right off his thrown in the Plants vs. Zombies 2’s latest content update, just released this week.

Dark Ages Part 2 features 10 new medieval themed levels, filled with a variety of mushroom militia and knighted undead. In addition to the new plants added in Dark Ages Part 1, there are two new plants, Peanut and Magnet Shroom.

You will pit your fungi against the likes of the Wizard Zombie and King Zombie. Both have their own wicked powers to push your protection limits.

The Wizard Zombie has a knack for turning your protective plants into mindless sheep. The only way to revert these walking winter coats back into mushrooms is to destroy the Wizard. The Peanut is on deck to save the day with his super fast, super strong shooter. He is part walnut and part pea shooter, so he can bombard a Wizard Zombie with enough firepower to destroy him in one shot.

Plants Vs. Zombies Dark Ages 2

When King Zombie sits on his throne at the far end of the board, he knights peasant zombies as they approach, making them much more difficult to defeat.

Luckily, the Magnet Shroom is there to help. Plant a Magnet Shroom and it will pull the knight’s helmet right off his head, turning that self-aggrandized brain-eater back into a peasant.

The update includes the following features:

  • 10 new levels and 2 new plants to checketh out

  • The Wizard Zombie . . . watch out for the sheep!

  • The newly crowned King Zombie, who’s making zombies into knights

  • A fired-up Zomboss awaiting and the endless Arthur’s Challenge to test your mettle

Dark Ages Part 2 is available as an expansion inside Plants vs. Zombies 2, which is available on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch for free. Download it in the Apps store today.
