Makers of Hit Game ‘Candy Crush Saga’ are Back With ‘Farm Heroes Saga’

Farm Heroes Saga 2If there were any game of 2013 that could be considered one of the top titles of the year it would be Candy Crush Saga. The deliciously simple match-three game won the hearts of iOS users all year long. It has steadily remained on the Top Grossing Games list in the App Store since it launched. This week, the game’s developer, King, has launched a new match-three title that is a little healthier, but just as fun.

Farm Heroes Saga originally launched on Facebook. Players can now take the veggie themed game with them where ever they go. Similar to Candy Crush Saga, players must match three items in order to earn points. However, Farm Heroes Saga has a few twists to make it distinctly different than its sugary sibling.

Farm Heroes Saga 3In this game, players reach a target by matching a certain number of items, called “Cropsies.” For example, your target on a level may be to match 20 onions, 12 apples, and 14 water droplets. Once you’ve collected the requisite number of Cropsies, the game goes into “Hero Mode” and you can earn additional points to increase your score and earn more stars.

Farm Heroes Saga 1If you log into Facebook, you can sync your game to play on your desktop and save your progress to take with you on your iPad or iPhone so you will always be connected to the same game.

“Ever since we first launched the original installment of Farm Heroes Saga on Facebook, the mobile version has been one of our community’s most requested titles,” says Tommy Palm, Games Guru at King. “We hope that its snackable nature and rewarding progression system will prove to be as much of a hit with mobile players as it has been with our Facebook fans. We look forward to welcoming new players down to the farm!”

Farm Heroes Saga is available on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch for free. Download it in the App Store today.
