Roundup: Accessory Makers Unveil Wide Lineup of New iPad Air Cases

SmartJacketOnly hours after Apple announced the new iPad Air on Tuesday, case makers were already sending out press releases to unveil their new line of products to fit your new tablet. This is only the “tip of the iceberg,” as the saying goes. There will be many more iPad Air products in the future. Today, we’ve got a roundup of some of that will be available the same day as Apple’s new iPad, or at least within a few weeks after.

Incipio

Flagship FolioIncipio has two new cases made exclusively for the iPad. The Flagship Folio is a hard shell case made from “Plextonium,” microsuede, and carbon fiber with a brushed metal hinge to lock the device securely in place. The tek-nical Folio is also made from Plextonium. It is a back cover that snaps onto the iPad Air and includes a microsuede front cover to protect your screen from scratches and dust. Both cases will be available in November. The Flagship Folio retails for $69.99 and the tek-nical Folio costs $39.99.

Speck

Style FolioCase maker Speck has redesigned their popular StyleFolio for the iPad Air. The case is made from faux leather and hard plastic for durability and protection. It has been redesigned to fit the new device with a full-perimeter, form-fit shell to protect the bottom and corners. The sturdy cover protects the screen and, when flipped over, turns into a stand for multiple viewing angles. The StyleFolio for iPad Air will be available Nov. 1 for $39.95. An iPad mini model will be available for $34.99 later in November.

M-Edge

Stealth KeyboardAccessory maker M-Edge is launching two new cases in their Stealth line of products. The Stealth 360 offers a fully rotating mount that achieves landscape and portrait stand positions while the Stealth Pro Keyboard Folio includes a modular, detachable magnetic Bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard slides to any position desired and can be used with or without the case. Both cases are available now from the company’s website. The Stealth 360 is priced at $59.99 and the Stealth Pro Keyboard Folio is $99.99.

Joy Factory

Folio369 MagConnectThe happy case maker Joy Factory has redesigned nearly all of their cases to be compatible with the new iPad Air, including the aXtion Bold ($59.95), the SmartSuit ($59.95), the SmartBlazer Leather Folio ($69.95), the Folio360 Slim ($59.95), and the Folio 360 MagConnect ($69.95). All products can be preordered from the company’s website and will be available in retails stores starting in November.
