Best Buy Reinstates Popular $200 iPad Trade-in Program

Best Buy iPad Trade-InIt’s back. Best Buy recently piloted an iPad trade-in program, only for it to come down after two days. Today, reports are in that the electronics giant has posted the offer again.

Last night, 9to5Mac learned that Best Buy’s generous offer would begin again, and sure enough, today the site went live with the following offer:

“Starting at $299.99 when you trade in your working iPad 2 or iPad (3rd generation). Get a minimum $200 Best Buy gift card which you may put toward the purchase of an iPad with Retina display.”

Your iPad can’t have water damage or a cracked display, but is otherwise eligible if it works.

This promotion comes on the heels of Best Buys earlier trade-in program where the company successfully exchanged iPhones for Best Buy gift cards.

NextWorth is probably the most popular buy-back company when it comes to iPads and iPhones. However, they are currently only offering $160 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only iPad 2. Best Buy’s offer, which includes the iPad 2, starts at $200 so you would automatically be getting and additional $40 for the base model.

Best Buy’s offer is only good through August 3. If you want to get a great trade-in offer for your iPad, you’d better head over to Best Buy soon.

Does this mean I would have to go to a Best Buy?

Yeah. No online trade-ins allowed. If you really can’t bring yourself to walk through the front doors at Best Buy, try NextWorth. They will buy your iPad online.
