Indie Game Developer Launches Solo Game ‘Tasty Tadpoles’

Tasty TadpolesIndie game developer Mark White has been in the business for six years. He previously worked with Firemint, but left when EA took over the upstart. For the past two years, in his spare time, White has been working on a survival game of the tiniest proportion. As of May 9, all of White’s afterhours efforts will pay off. Tasty Tadpoles launches in the App Store tomorrow.

Tasty Tadpoles is a survival game that pits one tiny tadpole against all the creatures in the pond. Tap your way through three different ponds, collecting bugs and avoiding becoming someone’s dinner.

You’ll have to be fast to get away from territorial yellow tadpoles, hungry turtles, and cannibalistic frogs. If the pond gets too crowded, clear the area with a good strong zap from your trusty electric eel.

The app features:

  • Delectably elegant controls crafter for touch devices

  • Prod frogs, poke turtles, nudge water beetles, hide in bubbles, swing open gateways, zap electric eels, spin into whirlpool portals + a feast of other features
  • 3 puzzling ponds – garden, murky and amazon
  • 75 deliciously challenging levels + a mind-shewingly challenging ‘puzzle mode’
  • 4 scrumptious characters to unlock and 14 yummy challenges to tackle

Tasty Tadpoles will be a universal app, available for $0.99 starting tomorrow.
