French tech blog NoWhereElse stays out of the spotlight for the most part. However, when it comes to leaked images of rumored upcoming Apple products, they are always one of the first to hit the airwaves. They were the first to leak images of the Lightning connectors, the finished iPad mini, and early photos of internal parts for the mini. All of the rumors that NoWhereElse reported later proved to be true, so the new leaked images from the tech site can be eyed with relative truth.
Today, NoWhereElse has released images from one of their “moles” in China that show the front panel of a tablet that looks a lot like a big iPad mini. In other words, it is probably the front panel of the upcoming fifth-generation iPad.
Based on the images, you’ll see that the bezel is significantly thinner than that of the current generation iPad. Either that, or it is nothing more than a picture of the iPad mini panel and the person holding it has very small hands.
Presumably, the panel is of the 9.7-inch size and these photos may be the first to show the front side of what will soon be the newest model of iPad to hit the market later this year.
Combine the front panel from NoWhereElse with the purported back casing that 9to5Mac discovered in January, and you’ve got yourself a big old iPad mini. This would be the first time since its launch that the full-sized iPad would see a significant redesign.
