Rovio Entertainment has a fairy tale princess story if there ever was one. An independent company made a single casual puzzle game that became the number one hit for mobile devices for years. Since its launch, Angry Birds has seen spin-off games, merchandise branding, books, and a rumored upcoming full-length feature film. Yesterday, the company announced that a new animated series called, “Angry Birds Toons” will hit the Web on March 16.
Have you always wondered what makes Bomb Bird so angry? Do you want to know why the King Pig is the King?
“Angry Birds Toons is an all-new animated series that throws the doors to Piggy Island wide open! For the first time ever, you can get up close and personal with your favorite characters. Join us every week starting the weekend of March 16th for a brand new episode featuring the latest adventures of the birds and pigs!”
The new cartoon series will only be available on the Web at the Angry Birds Toons official website. However, based on the popularity of the game, it is likely that Cartoon Network will pick it up in no time.
