Microsoft’s Bing Search engine page was enhanced for the iPad and the iPad mini this week, adding a new social sidebar feature that makes it easy to find people relevant to your search results based on what they have shared, blogged, or tweeted.
The new bar, which is located on the right side of the screen, lists information that was shared on major social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Klout, and Quora, providing a curated feed of data that’s both interesting and relevant to specific search terms.
Bing’s social bar will also show results that come from your friends, if you connect the app to your Facebook or Microsoft account. The social bar is a great way to find information from friends and experts, no matter what you’re searching for.
The changes are rolling out over the next week, but if you use Bing in Safari on the iPad or the iPad mini, many of you should be able to see the new changes immediately.
