Bunny Cannon HD is a cute and colorful Pachinko-style game that is a lot like Peggle, but with bunnies instead of pegs.
You will shoot bunnies from the cannon by holding a finger on the screen to aim and then releasing the finger to send the bunny in the cannon flying at the other bunnies on the screen.
When the bunnies are hit by the cannon bunny, they will fall to the basket at the bottom of the screen. Your goal in this game is to fill up the basket with the specified number of bunnies.
The trick, though, is that bunnies are blue and pink, or boys and girls. Blue bunnies need to be removed from the screen with pink bunnies, while pink bunnies can only be removed from the screen with blue bunnies.
Hitting each bunny with the opposite color produces more bunnies, which may spread and clear additional bunnies from the board in a chain reaction.
You will see which bunnies are coming next in the tube at the top of the screen. You will also see the type of bunny in the cannon so you can decide what move is best to make.
It takes some skill and practice to aim the bunnies perfectly so that you can get the most possible into the basket. Depending on the number of bunnies you get into the basket, you will be rewarded with between one and three stars. The goal is to get as many stars as possible, but if you don’t manage to get three, you can easily replay levels.
On some levels there are two baskets, and you must get the pink bunnies and blue bunnies into the appropriate baskets, which adds another level of challenge to this game.
As Bunny Cannon progresses, levels will get tougher, adding more bunnies and obstacles to overcome, like owls and thorns. Each level is a bit different and the added mechanic of two separate colors to deal with makes Bunny Cannon a great game.
Peggle fans will love this title, which is perfect for both kids and adults alike. There are 90 different levels to beat, which equates to tons of gameplay, making Bunny Cannon HD well worth the purchase price.
What I liked: Bunny Cannon has fun, innovative Pachinko style gameplay that is both challenging and fun.
What I didn’t like: I wasn’t thrilled with the graphics, which honestly, weren’t impressive. I was also disappointed that the game has two different versions for the iPad and the iPhone rather than a single universal version.
To buy or not to buy: If you liked Peggle, you will love Bunny Cannon.
