Battle Against Other Players in Heroes of Order & Chaos – iPad Game Review

Heroes of Order & Chaos is a multiplayer online battle arena game, which means that it’s a team multiplayer game that’s similar to League of Legends or Heroes of Newarth. Essentially, it’s DOTA for the iPad.

You’re presented with a battle map, and the map is divided into different routes. Players will advance though each route and will do battle when they meet up. You will be automatically grouped with four other players to form a team, and you will then battle another team.

You can choose from three initial characters: Molten Lord, Earth Colossus, or Dark Elf Exile. Each character has different powers and abilities. As you can imagine, the Molten Lord is fiery, while the Earth Colossus controls the power of the elements and the elf wields a deadly axe.

It’s best to have a varied team composition so you can defeat every type of enemy player. For example, one guardian and one support class is essential in order to keep your team protected and healed, while other team members should be fighters.

Movement in the game is well implemented, and to walk you will tap the ground or use the virtual d-pad on the left side of the screen.

Combat is equally simple. Just tap on an enemy and then tap on the sword or magic buttons on the right side of the screen. Your character will automatically attack after you tap on an enemy until it was dead, and then you will need to tap on another enemy to attack that one.

The same buttons on the right side of the screen are also used for leveling up new skills and for teleporting back to town to get new quest objectives.

In addition to fighting battles with other players, you can also fight powerful monsters that will reward you with power boosts and treasures. You can also defeat mercenaries for additional gold and experience, which will help you in your quest to defeat the other team’s players.

After every battle you will earn emblems, which can be used in the shop to purchase items, new upgrades, new heroes, and specific customization options.

If you die while in battle you can respawn, but it take tokens, which are expensive. This is a freemium game, so you are encouraged to spend real life cash to buy new things.

This is also a multiplayer game, so after you complete the initial tutorial you will need to create a Gameloft account if you don’t already have one, and you will have to log in to play.

If you enjoy this type of game and have played other similar PC games like League of Legends, you will enjoy Heroes of Order & Chaos.

What I liked: The game has great graphics and it is a lot of fun if you have friends that you can play with.

What I didn’t like: It’s not always easy to find a match. In fact, I had quite a hard time finding a game that I could play in, which was entirely frustrating.

To buy or not to buy: The game is a free download, so if you like team-based multiplayer games, it’s well worth checking out.
