Work Out Your Aggressions in Slap That Zombie – iPad App Review

Slapping somebody is one of those things that is incredibly fun and entirely inappropriate and therefore doesn’t happen very often.

In Slap That Zombie your open-faced hand is your weapon of choice as you whack your way toward rescuing the humans (as long as you do better than I did and don’t actually slap them too).

Using the iPad’s built-in camera, the game can sense when you have waved your hand on front of the screen and delivers a slap across the face of the zombie that is in view. The game itself can be played by kids of all ages (even the on-screen ‘gore’ is pretty mild so it will not scare children), though younger game players will likely have more success as it can be a little tiring to hold your hand up in the air for longer periods of time.

As you slap your way through the wonderful graphics in this game, you can also grab coins that are good for buying all sorts of goodies like crazy new zombie outfits.

What I liked: In a sea of zombie killing games, this title stands out as being unique (plus it is a tremendous stress reliever, nobody out there can stay upset while they sit and slap a few zombies on their iPad).

What I didn’t like: I wish that when you paused the game that it also muted the sound –If you are in the middle of a zombie slap-down and you get interrupted, the soundtrack can be a little distracting and loud.

To buy or not to buy: If you can’t get enough of games that involve zombies, this is another title that you really shouldn’t be without.
