Nielsen: Don’t Look Further, Your Kid Wants an iPad for Christmas

Wondering what to get little Timmy or Jane for the holidays this year? You don’t have to spend much time searching for the perfect gift – it’s likely your kids are coveting one of Apple’s ultra addictive tablets.

According to a new Nielsen survey, the most wanted presents this year come from a single company – Apple. That’s right, the majority of kids have “iPad” written across their wish lists.

Almost half (48 percent) of children aged 6 to 12 surveyed wanted the full-sized iPad, while another 36 percent wanted the iPad mini. The iPhone and the iPod touch were also high on the list, at 36 percent and 33 percent, respectively.

Among consumers aged 13 and up, the iPad was also the most requested item. 21 percent of people surveyed wanted an iPad, which was higher than any other requested object, including computers, the Wii U, and other tablet brands.

If your kids are requesting an Apple device this year, will Santa be leaving one under the tree? Why or why not?
