Facebook’s iPad App Gets New Feature in Latest Update

Facebook’s mobile app was updated earlier today, adding a new “Share” button to friend’s posts on your news feed, making it easier than every to add your favorite content to your own feed.

The update has also added new tagging capabilities, so that you can tag your friends in posts, comments, and photos. You will now be able to add smileys, hearts, and emojis to your Facebook feed, and sorting is easier than ever with the new button next to the News Feed in the left sidebar.

According to Facebook employee Aditya Koolwal, the update “gives people a fast way to share stories with friends from their mobile phones, just as they can from their computers.”

Facebook’s new mobile share feature is similar to Twitter’s retweet, allowing users to disseminate information quickly rather than simply “liking” it.

    Do you know how to undo this update? My fb app for iPad crashes. Every time I open since the update.

      I don’t think you can undo the update unless you have the .ipa file on your computer, but I’ve had this problem with Facebook before. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app has always fixed it for me. Have you tried that?
