LTE-Enabled 4th Gen iPad Hits the Apple Retail Stores

It’s official. The fourth-generation cellular iPad is actually inside the walls of some Apple retail stores. You can’t head down to your local shop and pick one up today, but it should happen any day now… any day now.

According to several reports, Apple has begun stocking its US stores with LTE versions of the fourth-generation iPad. There is no word on whether the cellular iPad minis were in those same shipments.

Strangely, Apple has not announced an official launch date for the 4G LTE-capable models. Stores have been “instructed to wait until word from corporate comes through” to stock the shelves.

It has been widely rumored that the cellular models of both the fourth-generation iPad and the iPad mini would launch this Friday. We’ll know for sure tomorrow.
