Girls Like Robots And Nerds Like Girls – iPad Game Review

Girls Like Robots is a puzzle game where the girls would rather sit next to a shiny robot than a goofy nerd. Not surprising, the nerds are happy when they get to sit next to both.

Players start with a certain number of squares and the goal is to get all of the players to sit down. The problem is that the girls get mad when seated next to nerds, the robots freak out when surrounded by too many girls, and the nerds have anxiety attacks if they don’t get to sit on the outer edge.

Your job is to make everyone happy by seating the characters next to the right person.

It is o.k., and sometimes necessary, to seat a girl next to a nerd. However, if you seat a robot next to the girl, she gets a little bit happier. The more robots next to her, the happier she gets.

The higher your happiness meter, the better your score. Players earn bonus items for every star they earn.

There are farm girls that don’t care about anything but bugs and bugs that run away from normal girls. There are boys that can’t sit still and lunchroom romances that need your help to bloom.

There are multiple ways to solve each puzzle, but not many ways to earn three stars. The replay value of this game is high because players can try to find the perfect solution each time.

What I liked: The artwork is very sweet. Each square character looks hand-painted and the background theme is fun. The puzzles are also not too easy, but not too challenging.

What I didn’t like: The menu screen seems just a bit confusing. Players earn stars to use as bonuses, but it was difficult to understand what those bonuses were. A rulebook or how-to summary page would be helpful.

To buy or not to buy: Absolutely a buy. The game is on sale for only $0.99 right now, so get it while the price is right.
