Popular Borderlands Gaming Sequel – Borderlands Legends to Hit iPad October 31

It was recently discovered that an iOS version of Borderlands 2, Borderlands Legends, is being released for iPad — and now we know that it is hitting the proverbial shelves on October 31!

The reason Borderlands and Borderlands 2 are so addictive comes from the perfect blend of action RPG and strategy (with “isometric gameplay that lets players level up their characters while fending off relentless waves of Skags, Bandits and other baddies”). The update promises a fresh take on the franchise, though you can expect to see familiar enemies, including Skags, Bandits, Crimson Lance and Spider Ants.

Games of this type are serving to really bridge the gap between iOS gaming and console gaming, offering a sophistication to the characters and game-play that have, until recently, been unseen on mobile devices.

A brief, insider look into the upcoming Borderlands Legends shows it to be an exciting game filled with enough of the familiar to be a must-have for those who loved the previous releases; so expect to see goodies as described by Entertainment Weekly: “randomized, objective-based missions; enemy difficulty scales alongside players’ unlimited ability to level-up; guns and gear can be purchased from mustachioed merchant Marcus; and, like its console counterparts, Legends allows lethally wounded players to score a life-reviving “second wind” with a well-placed slug”.

Borderlands Legends will be available in the App Store for iOS devices on October 31, 2012 for USD $4.99 on iPhone and USD $6.99 on iPad.
