Rovio Launches Bad Piggies HD for iPad – Sequel to Hit Game Angry Birds

Angry PiggiesWe knew something PIG was coming, and here it is! Rovio has now released the sequel to their too-famous-for-words Angry Birds franchise with Bad Piggies HD. The premise is similar only this time the stars are piggies and the treasure is an egg (or eggs, as the case may be).

While you might expect that you are protecting those eggs, the reality is you are actually endeavoring to create “the ultimate flying/crawling/rolling/spinning/crashing device and pilot the pigs safely to the eggs.”

Creating the ultimate piggie-moving machine will take some thought as well as trial-and-error as you assemble components from 33 categories, including motors, wings, fans, bottle rockets, umbrellas, balloons, and much more. For those of you who like hints and help, you aren’t alone. The game features a mechanic pig who will help you build your contraption and then all you need to do is pilot it!

Once you get started (and fully addicted in true ‘sequel-to-Angry-Birds’ fashion), you will be entertained through 60 levels with 30 additional puzzles that you can unlock by 3-starring levels (perfecting them, in other words). The developers do offer a word of warning already that lets you know that you may need to play a level multiple times in order to achieve all of your objectives –so you could (hopefully) be at this one for a while!

Intrigued? Want more of a challenge? Rovio has also added 4 sandbox levels plus what they describe as an “ultra-special, ultra-secret, ultra-difficult sandbox level” that can be unlocked by diligent players that collect all of the in-game skulls!

If you are intrigued by the idea of playing with piggies, grab Bad Piggies HD from the App Store for USD $2.99.
