10 Killer iPad Games to Kill Time During Your Next Meeting

Let’s face it, meetings can be boring, overly long, and entirely yawn inducing. Here’s a little secret though – you can keep your mind engaged and look attentive while playing games on your iPad to pass the time.

Here’s a great list of meeting friendly games that will keep you amused without attracting too much attention. All of these games can be played without requiring your full attention, so you can still keep up with what’s going on.

Fieldrunners 2 HD ($7.99) – Tower defense games are great for meetings because they don’t require too much attention. Fieldrunners 2 HD recently came out for the iPad, and though it is pricy, it is, by far, one of the best tower defense games available in the App Store. In this game you will build an array of towers in an open field to defeat enemies with fantastically realistic AI. Fieldrunners 2 is challenging, but it’s also engrossing and incredibly fun.

Lich Defense ($1.99) – This is a relatively new tower defense game, but it has managed quite a few rave reviews in the week that it’s been out. In this game, you’ll play as the lich king, managing deadly towers and casting devastating spells to annihilate invaders in twisted and exciting ways in each level. Battles take place on three themed arenas: meadow, tundra, and volcano, and the game features more than 60 quests plus an array of achievements.

The World Ends With You: Solo Remix for iPad ($19.99) – The World Ends With You is a new RPG from Square Enix, of Final Fantasy fame, and it’s been brought to the iPad. The game features a slick combat system, impressive 3D art, and plenty of gameplay. You’ll play as Neku, a boy who wakes up in a crowded intersection, all alone and without any idea of how he got there. He’ll need to solve one riddle after another to find out his history.

Lili ($4.99) – Lili is a brand new RPG hybrid game with gorgeous visuals, ultra smooth graphics, a fantastic storyline, and easy to use controls. In short, it’s the total package. This non combat RPG asks you to defeat spirits by picking their precious flowers, and while that may not seem entertaining, it quickly grows addictive. Lili is a gorgeous game with unique gameplay mechanics, making it a worthwhile purchase.

Lunar Silver Star Story Touch ($6.99) – This is a popular Japanese RPG that’s been ported to and optimized for iOS. Lunar Silver Star Story Touch is a turn-based Japanese RPG with nearly a full hour of animated cut scenes, a remastered soundtrack, an easy control system with an onscreen joypad, Game Center integration, and an engaging storyline involving an ancient Dragonmaster and one boy’s quest to be a Dragonmaster himself.

Crosswords ($9.99) – If you like word games, the Crossword app is the perfect choice for a meeting. It engages your mind but doesn’t have a time limit, so you can come back to it time and time again. There are new crosswords on a daily basis, so this app never gets stale.

If you’re a fan of Solitaire, get this simple app that will remind you of the classic game you used to play on your old Windows PC.

ThinkO ($1.99) – ThinkO is a slow-paced puzzle game that’s may look simplistic, but it’s actually a challenging game that’s difficult to put down. In this game, which looks gorgeous, by the way, the goal is to clear three or more blocks on the screen by matching circles in corresponding colors. It gets ultra tricky when the circles grow in size, preventing you from easily navigating around the level. This game takes some skill to master.

It never gets old, and Popcap is continually adding new features that suck you back into the game even after you’ve already finished it.
