Remember that flight attendant who just couldn’t resist snagging an iPad that was left behind on the plane? It seems like humans aren’t the only species coveting Apple’s irresistible tablet – even bears want one!
This weekend, one sneaky bear got his paws on a backpack at Jenks Lake in the San Bernadino National Forest, and in that backpack, there was an iPad.
The bear made off with the iPad while the people at the campsite slowly backed away and made loud noises in an attempt to scare him off. He retreated, but not before he got his loot.
After partaking in some Angry Birds, the bear later came back to the campsite to steal a tupperware container full of food to go with his iPad. Serious gaming requires snacks, right?
The iPad and the backpack were not returned, but the bear better watch out – the tablet could very well be equipped with Find My iPhone.
In all seriousness, there are quite a few bears in the San Bernadino National Forest. If you visit, it’s important to keep your food and belongings in bear-resistant containers to avoid a similar encounter.
