A New Version of Mobile Google Drive Almost Ready for iOS

A post on the Google blog and a tweet announcing new features for the upcoming version of Google Drive for iOS and Android briefly appeared yesterday.  Both were deleted by Google shortly afterward, but some quick-acting users were able to capture the release notes.

New features for iOS users will include the ability to edit Google Documents and view Google Presentations.  This is a big improvement to the current Google Drive app for iOS, since previously users could only view Google Documents in the app and were kicked off to Safari to do any editing.

Android users are also getting new features as Google plans to add updated editing and organizing functions and the ability to comment on Google Documents and Google Presentations.

Despite the quick removal of the post, it is very likely that a Google  Drive update is coming soon.
