Food Trucks Go High-Tech with iPad Ordering

If you’ve ever ordered food from a food truck, you know that the process can be a bit chaotic and unorganized, but that may change thanks to Revel Systems, a company that has developed an iPad-based point-of-sale system designed especially for food trucks.

The new system is intended to streamline the sale of food from trucks, giving peace of mind to truck owners and freeing them from worries over power, connectivity, and reliability.

This point-of-sale solution can be run using one of Apple’s new 4G iPads, and it does not need an additional Internet connection. It’s able to run efficiently on a 3G or 4G connection, eliminating the need for a router or WiFi hotspot.

Included Twitter integration also offers food trucks a way to quickly alert followers to location and pricing changes, increasing customer awareness and food truck sales.

Revel Systems’ POS terminal with its included Revel Router is available for purchase for $1,999, plus a small monthly fee. For more information, visit the Revel Systems website.
