Rovio knows a thing or two about creating a great game for mobile devices (you may have heard of their other little franchise: Angry Birds). Their next entry into the market is with a new game called Amazing Alex, a physics-based puzzle game starring a whiz kid with a boundless imagination and a houseful of fun toys.
Amazing Alex HD comes equipped with a set of 35 fully interactive objects eager to be set in motion as they bounce, pop, ricochet, bash, and crash into each other to create an elaborate Rube Goldberg device! With 100 levels to begin and the promise of more to come, if you get as addicted to this title as you did to Angry Birds you won’t have to worry!
The trick to this game is that Alex has chores to do and games to play (whether he is cleaning up his room or battling cardboard robots for fun in the backyard) and he wants to get those things done with the least amount of work and the most amount of fun!
Are you particularly proud of your latest ingenious solution to a level? Share it with your friends and challenge them to come up with something more elegant. Bored with the existing levels? A built-in designer tool lets you create your own levels and share the creations with others so they can try their hand at solving them.
The EVP of Games, Petri Järvilehto is happy to boast that the developers are very proud of this new game, saying that: “We’ve taken out time polishing a fantastic game and believe we’re created something fun and accessible for all ages. We’ve had a lot of fun with the game, and we can’t wait to see what our fans come up with!”
There is no question that Rovio knows how to entertain you and Amazing Alex seems like a visually stulating (Retina display quality) sure-win for kids of all ages (my 3 year old is as good or better at the physics style games than I am).
Amazing Alex HD can be downloaded from the App Store for USD $2.99.
