Learn to be Brave with Disney’s New Interactive Comic
There are two schools of people who are going to love this app: those of you who can’t get enough interactive comic content on your iPad and those who love everything and anything that Disney produces. With typical Disney flare, their Brave Interactive Comic will not disappoint. Starring a young girl who has the strength and courage to change her own fate, Merida is a Disney leading lady that you will not soon forget!
Inside the virtual pages of this app you will find a complete retelling of the movie in 48 interactive comic pages (you can choose between a panel-by-panel mode as well as auto-play).
Along with sketches and concept art from Pixar artists, an added bonus inside the app will teach you how to draw many of the characters from the film, including Merida, Elinor, Mor’Du and the Triplets. Whether you are a child learning to draw or a budding artist that is curious just how characters this vivid come to life, this is an app-extra you can sink your teeth into.
The sound effects are whimsical and compliment the vivid illustrations very nicely.

What I liked: The quality of the illustrations will blow you away. Particularly on a third generation iPad with the Retina display, this comic is breathtaking.
What I didn’t like: When you first load the comic you are briefed with all of the instructions you need to navigate through the story. There are a lot of details to absorb and it is not easy to bring up ‘hints and tips’ later once you are into the story an not sure what to do next.
To buy or not to buy: If you have been looking forward to this movie since you saw the first preview months ago, this is a perfect compliment to your app collection.
