It’s Official – Verizon Wireless Launches ‘Share Everything’ Plans with Shared Data

It appears to be the week of big announcements with Verizon delivering on a promise of a new plan for those of us with multiple devices! Starting on June 28 both new and existing Verizon customers can sign up for Share Everything, which gives you the ability to get all of your devices, unified under a single plan.

A very enthusiastic Tami Erwin, vice president and chief marketing officer for Verizon Wireless was quick to describe the new plan:

Customers asked, and today Verizon Wireless delivered an industry first. Share Everything Plans are the new standard for wireless service. They are simple; customers no longer have to think about their voice and message plans, because both are unlimited. Share Everything Plans are convenient; customers purchase one data plan and they share it with up to 10 mobile devices. And, they are worry-free; customers can connect their 3G or 4G devices wherever and whenever they want on America’s most reliable network.

The Share Everything plan offers unlimited talk for all devices on your account (so no more concerns over overage charges), unlimited text messaging for all devices on your account (including picture and video messaging), shareable data for all of the devices on your account (you choose the data amount you need) and mobile hotspot which allows you to share your data allowance with Wi-Fi enabled devices).

The cost of the Share Everything plan varies depending on the amount of shared data you require, with 1Gb beginning at $50 per month all the way to 10GB ringing in at $100 per month. Up to 10 devices can be added to your account, with a monthly line access fee for each– your iPhone will cost you $40 per month with your iPad adding $10 per month on top. Basic phones, netbooks and notebooks are examples of other types of devices you could add if you so desire. If you aren’t sure how much data you are going to need, Verizon provides all sorts of help to let you calculate expected and current use.

As with all Verizon plans, there are no domestic roaming charges and basic calling features like caller ID, call waiting and such are included at no additional charge.
