Apple Online Store Closed in Preparation of Keynote Announcement

As we expected, Apple has taking their online store offline temporarily less than two hours before the Worldwide Developer Convention (WWDC) Keynote address begins.  It is not uncommon for the tech giant to close up shop in preparation for big announcements. Maybe there will be some new products on the shelves after this year’s message.

Apple’s Keynote address, which will take place today at 12:00 CDT, will reveal which rumors are true and which were just wishful thoughts. We already know that an announcement will be made for the upcoming to iOS 6.0, but there is no reason for the online store to need to update for an operating system. This leads me to believe that a hardware announcement will be made today as well. We may see a new product, or we may see the end of an old one. The first-generation iPad may be headed for the chopping block today.

What are you hoping will be announced at today’s Keynote address?
