Boeing Gives US a Tour of Aviation History with New iPad App
Boeing has launched its first official app for the iPad, called Milestones in Innovation. This app showcases nine decades of aviation history and aviation with gorgeous high definition imagery and an interactive timeline.
The app begins with the founding of the company in 1916 by Bill Boeing, and culminates in the first delivery of the 787 Dreamliner, with all o the technological advances in between.
In addition to the interactive timeline, the app also includes four videos from Boeing’s “Inspiration to Innovation” series.
“This is the history of Boeing as a digital coffee table book,” said Fritz Johnston, Boeing’s vice president of brand and advertising. “iPad’s amazing Retina display makes it the perfect canvas to present this visually stunning narrative.”
