Broadway Star Will Portray Woz in Steve Jobs Biopic
Ashton Kutcher is set to portray a young Steve Jobs in Joshua Michael Stern’s upcoming indie biopic movie, and now it looks like Steve Wozniak may be played by Broadway star Josh Gad.
Gad, who is currently in talks to play the part, is best known for his starring role in the Tony-award winning musical The Book of Mormon. He also recently starred in Love and Other Drugs, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.
The movie, which chronicle Steve Jobs’ early life as he transforms from hippie college dropout to the founder of Apple computers, is set to start shooting in May.
Steve Wozniak was the co-founder of Apple along with Jobs, and he was responsible for designing the operating systems for Apple’s first computers. Though the two were initially close, they drifted apart and shared a rocky relationship in later years.
