Apple Store Kid Corner Now Features iPads Instead of iMacs

If you’ve visited one of Apple’s retail locations, you know that the famous stores feature a special area for kids, with low-set child-sized tables equipped with devices running games designed just for them.

The kid’s section of each Apple Store used to hold iMacs, but as discovered by iMore, those iMacs are being replaced with iPads.

With a bevy of children’s apps and games available in the App Store, the iPad has become an extremely popular teaching and entertainment tool for kids, so it’s not surprising that Apple has made this shift.

The Apple Store has featured a kid’s section since it the first locations opened more than 10 years ago, and while the iMacs have been updated over the years, this is the first time that the section has featured a device other than an iMac.
