Triple Trouble HD Combines Match-Three and Physics-Based Gaming For Double The Fun

Triple Trouble HD is fun for everyone. Casual game players around the globe will love this physics-based match-three combo game. Not only do you have to line up the Triple and fling him to the correct spot, but you also have to get three of the same colored fuzz balls right next to each other to score.

To play the game, players touch the Triple that is sitting on the leaf and swipe in the direction they want the little guy to go. The speed and angle of the swipe determine where he will land. To pass a level, players get three of the same colored Triples in one area. When at least three match up, they will clear from the board. More points are awarded for matching more than three at a time, but that is very hard to achieve.

Three matches of three or more must be made to complete a level. Once the goal is achieved, the next level is unlocked. There are 16 levels in each world and three worlds to conquer.

As levels progress, obstacles become harder. There are fans that will blow the Triples around, springs that launch them higher and seesaws that affect the direction they will bounce. If you make a mistake, a Triple may lose his life. If that happens, you will lose points that will be deducted from your final score.

There are collectable objects that increase your overall point score. If you make a mistake, you have the option of re-throwing a Triple to get him into the spot you intended. Players lose one point every time they re-throw a Triple.

Overall, this is an entertaining game full of physics-based fun. There are lots of interesting challenges and the replay value is fairly high since higher points return more stars and there are lots of achievements to unlock.

What I liked: The graphic design is pretty cute. The Triples make adorable sounds when they are thrown. If you wait too long to throw one, it will yell, “Hey!”

What I didn’t like: While the game is challenging, it is not particularly hard. It is almost too casual.

To buy or not to buy: Fans of casual games, especially physics-based ones, will get a kick out of this one. The price is cheap and the art is cute. It is definitely worth picking up.
