Trade-In Value of iPad 2 Still High

O.K. so, you bought the new iPad and decided that the best way to justify your purchase is to sell your iPad 2. You ask around, but your brother wants a “family discount,” and you have that one friend who keeps telling everyone that your old iPad isn’t worth what you are asking for because they can get a brand new one for $100 less than the original price from Apple, making it much more difficult to sway potential buyers.

Well, forget about all of that hogwash and take advantage of one of the many trade-in options available to you.

Through March 24, Target, in conjunction with NextWorth, is offering a trade in price for the first generation iPad of $200 and the iPad 2 for as much as $350. All you have to do is pack up your old iPad and head on down to one of the 1,450 participating Target stores nationwide and they will give you a Target gift card for the trade-in value of your iPad.

Amazon has its own trade-in program and is offering even better deals on iPad 2s right now. The lowest-end model, the 16GB Wi-Fi only iPad 2 in “Like New” condition has a trade-in value of $291.50 and the highest-end model, the 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G iPad 2 in “Like New” condition can be sold to Amazon for $500. The company even offers free UPS drop off shipping.

So if you are tired of listening to your naysaying friends or politely rejecting your mooching family member’s low-ball offer, you can feel comfortable knowing that your iPad 2 is worth more than they think. Trade it in today and forget about the hassle.
