The site known for ripping apart all of our favorite Apple products, iFixit, has gotten its hands on one of the new iPads and the festivities have already begun on the “resolutionary” new tablet.
iFixit’s tablet is a 4G model, which was picked up from a store in Melbourne, Australia, and this teardown will be eagerly watched by gadget fans eager to get info on the innards of their beloved devices.
The site is currently in the process of disassembling the iPad, and currently, they’ve discovered that it does indeed have that dual-core A5X processor, plus a 11,560 mAh battery.
Its 9.7-inch Retina Display appears to have been made by Samsung, despite conflicting reports that LG Display was providing Apple’s panels. There’s still plenty more information to come as they get down to the guts, so head on over to iFixit.com for a look.
