MLB.com At Bat 2012 for iPad Available Now

MLBAttention baseball fans, the official app of Major League Baseball is updated and ready to bring the excitement of America’s Pastime to your iPhone and iPad. With MLB.com At Bat you can stay connected with your favorite players and teams (while keeping a close eye on would-be threats) beginning with spring training taking you all the way to the World Series.

More features are slated to be added once the season officially begins, but until then you can enjoy considerable benefits for those following spring training.

Whether you want to tune in to available radio broadcasts of Spring Training games, follow the batter-by-batter action or just get the latest news, schedules and interactive rosters and player stats for every team, this app has you connected.

MLB.com At Bat is available as a free download from the App Store, but unless you happen to be a lucky MLB.TV premium subscriber, you will need to budget for a paid subscription in order to unlock all of the features and power inside this app. Choose from a one-time USD $14.99 or opt for the monthly commitment of USD $2.99 (which will recur automatically every 30 days unless you cancel your subscription).

Previous versions of the MLB.com At Bat app from past seasons provided audio of the games and in-game statistics, but true fans of the sport will appreciate that along with your MLB.TV premium subscription you can also enjoy video of each one as well (including 150 Spring Training games and all 2,430 regular season games –except for a few subject black outs which will come available 90 minutes after the action has wrapped up).

Even without a MLB.TV premium subscription (which also allows for streaming using Apple TV), this app is an absolute necessity for any real baseball fan and will serve as a trusty companion as you watch your way through all of the pre-season and regular season action.
