Jazz Up Your Presentations with Templates for Keynote Pro 2.0

Templates for Keynote ProIf you love and use Keynote for your presentations, Templates for Keynote Pro 2.0 is the must-have app that take your delivery to the next level.

For those of us lacking the graphic design gene but keenly aware of how lame it looks when you deliver a presentation to a group of people familiar with Apple’s Keynote software (and therefore already tired of the 12 built-in templates it comes with), this app goes a long way toward making you look professional and impressive.

Loaded with 36 diverse templates organized into 6 categories leaves you with over 600 slide options to work with that the developer describes ranging from “simple to sophisticated, from fancy to functional.” Whether you are in a rush and just need a home-run design for your next presentation or you are lacking inspiration for how you might lay things out so they look pulled together and persuasive, this app has something for you.

The thing I liked best about this app was the full-screen preview that appears in a flash when you are browsing for a theme, making it very easy to imagine what each slide style would look like and picture how your presentation may marry into it.

Templates for Keynote Pro 2.0 recognizes that your core competency is the content in your presentation and not in the design of your slides.

What I liked: The whimsical interface design makes this a fun app to use and really showcases the graphic design that makes this app all the more worthwhile.

What I didn’t like: I wish these templates extended to other apps so you could use the same themes in your word processing documents and spreadsheets.

To buy or not to buy: If delivering high-quality presentations is part of your job description, this is an app that should definitely be in your bag of tricks.

Sorry, Jillian. The most amazing templates still won’t help a poorly-designed presentation, turning the brilliance of Keynote into just another Powerpoint Hell. Learn to give a great presentation and even if the backgrounds are boring the result will be astounding.
