PadGadget Weekly Apps Series — Apps for the 2012 Academy Awards

3. IMDB (Free) – IMDB is, of course, the ultimate movie app. If you want to get the inside scoop on a movie that looks intriguing while you’re watching the show, this is the app to use. With IMDB, you can look up any movie, actor, or television show, plus get inside information on movies and casts thanks to detailed bios. You’ll also find movie trailers, ratings, and movie discussion boards. IMDb is the world’s largest collection of movie, TV and celebrity info. You can’t miss any information with this app.

 

4. E! Live From the Red Carpet (Free) – Get backstage right from your couch with the E! Live from the Red Carpet app. E! will bring you the stars, the fashion, and the glitz, from the comfort of your living room. Get insider info on the awards, and the actors and actresses who attend the ceremony, plus plenty of celebrity interviews and complete video coverage of the event. You’ll have instant access to hundreds of E! articles, breaking down everything from the winners and upsets to the shows’ best (and worst) moments.

 

5. MovieCat! HD Movie Trivia Game ($2.99) – Planning on hosting or attending an Oscar party? Take this app along and you’re sure to be the life of the party. Challenge friends and family to find out who knows the most about movies. With MovieCat, you have access to hundreds of unique questions, plus extra puzzle packs and three difficulty levels making this the perfect app for everyone. This movie trivia game stands apart from the rest!
