PadGadget Weekly App Series — Apps For Valentine’s Day

For today’s Weekly App Series we’ve found ten great apps to add to your iPad collection. We have included ten apps for Valentine’s Day in this week’s bundle. Our editorial team goes through the data, picks the best and most interesting apps and then brings them to you on a regular basis.

1.) Tom’s Love Letters (Free) – Talking Tom has found a girlfriend. He gives her kisses and hugs and shyly glances at her. The app does not have the infamous talkback feature of the other Talking Tom apps, but it is sweetly entertaining. Users can send a personalized valentine greeting through email or Facebook. The sweet love songs that play in the background will pluck at your heartstrings this Valentine’s day. Very nice app, and you will have fun creating and sending out your very own valentine!


2.) Love!! (Free) – To put you in the mood this Valentine’s Day, decorate your iPad with love-inspiring wallpaper. There are 25 different high-quality illustrations included for free. You can save them as wallpaper or email them to a special someone. There are two additional wallpaper themes, bikes and cars, which can also be downloaded for $0.99 each. All the images are self-contained and always available for viewing. Turn your iPad into a Valentine and surprise your loved one.


3.) Valentine’s Day 2012: 14 best free apps for your love (Free) – This is a cute little app that offers 14 free apps related to love and Valentine’s Day through simple games that unlock the app. Trace a hear shape and unlock a new app to download. Share the app to Facebook and give it a rating to earn special gems that will unlock additional features, like new songs to listen to while in the app. Whether you are looking for a Valentine or something to do with your loved one, this app can help you discover it.


4.) Love Quotes 500 (Free) – If you are in need of some sweet nothings to whisper in your loved one’s ear, try one of the 500 love quotes in this app. It is a simple interface with a quote and the person who said it. You can either copy and paste the text to any format, such as Facebook or Twitter, or send the quote directly through an email. Your sweetheart will love to hear you say, “I love thee with a love that shall never not die, till the sun grows cold and the stars grow old,” William Shakespeare.


5.) The Love Tangram ($0.99) – Tangrams are a great way to relax while stimulating the brain. Images are created using specific shapes that are placed in just the right way. This app has a Valentine theme with pleasant music and love-inspired images. There are three levels of difficulty for beginners and experts alike. There are somewhere around 50 tangrams to solve for maximum value at a minimum price. It has three difficulty levels to suit all players. A great Valentine’s gift!


6.) Cards ` ($3.99) – Also known as Lifelike Cards Pro, this is a must-have app for sending Valentines to friends and family. Choose from hundreds of images generated from Flickr that are themed for any occasion and write a personal message. Send your greeting card or postcard directly through email, or post it to Facebook or Twitter. It is a great way to tell that special someone how much they mean to you while saving a few trees in the meantime.


7.) Scene It? Romance Movies HD ($4.99) – If you are looking for something to do with your sweetie on Valentine’s Day, why not stay in and play a romantic game of Scene It? instead of battling the crowds at restaurants and movie theaters. Impress your date with your knowledge of chick flicks and romance epics. In addition to the official game, see how passionate you are with the love meter or compete against your date in the Lover’s Quarrel section. At this price, you will be saving money and enjoying a quiet evening with someone you love.


8.) M.A.S.H. Valentine (Free) – Remember playing the game of M.A.S.H. (mansion, apartment, shack, house) out in the school yard? Now you can play it right from your iPad. Find out who will be your date this Valentine’s Day, where you will go, what you will wear and whether you will end up married, acquaintances, soul mates, or happy. Choose from a premade list of items, or enter them yourself. Pick names right from your iPad’s contact folder, or type in your favorite celebrity. Relive your school days with this charming app.


9.) El Gifto- Gift Ideas Guru (Free) – If you are at your wits end looking for the perfect gift for your significant other, try El Gifto. The app generates gift ideas based on certain criteria that you input. For example, gender, age the price you want to spend, their personality, their interests and your relationship to them. Once the basic information is added, a list of possible ideas will be generated. Find something in the electronics section, the music section, or the jewelry section. This app will be helpful all year round. Find gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and more.


10.) Skout (Free) – If you still have not found that perfect someone for Valentine’s Day, Skout is the app for you. Literally millions of users are members of this popular flirting and dating service. Enter a bit of information about yourself and begin the search. You will easily find hundreds of people nearby, most of whom are currently online, looking for love as well. The service also acts as a kind of game, where points are earned when users do things like send a wink bomb or save a picture. With Skout, you will never have to be alone on Valentine’s Day.
